It is a pretty safe bet that this Atherton resident or this Los Gatos resident won't get national coverage when they officially announce their intentions.
A little inside-the-media tidbit struck Watch Dog as interesting. Compare the image that nytimes.com is using with this news story to the mercurynews.com image. You'd think Whitman's hometown paper would use a more compelling photo...

Since Whitman was a strong supporter of Prop 8, let's hope the Bay Area and Silicon Valley disavow her residency ... and vote for someone else!
